Electric Power and Natural Gas PDF Print E-mail

Electric Power

The Port of Quincy’s electric power is supplied by the Grant County Public Utility District, which operates two hydro-electric dams on the Columbia River.  As a result, the Port of Quincy has an abundant supply of clean, renewable and reliable electric power with some of the lowest and most competitive rates in the nation.

Natural Gas

The Port of Quincy has an ample supply of natural gas through Cascade Natural Gas Corporations's pipelines (see map below) which run through Quincy and very near to the Port of Quincy's industrial parks.  On a related note, the City of Quincy is finishing a biogas project that will allow it to collect biogas from its water treatment system/facility and provide a steady supply of biogas to companies and other businesses located in Port of Quincy (which may want or need biogas).
